In Australia there is a deep sense of concern in the business community that the government is clawing back support for business innovation. The Federal Government’s R&D Tax Concession is seen as a thinly veiled concession to reign in the governments estimated annual $1.4 billion spend on the program. What is needed is leadership and investment to ensure our bright innovations don’t go offshore for commercialisation. This requires a level of Government and Industry support to develop our home grown innovations and ensure the patents remain Australian. What do you think?
